Neighborhood
Vejby Strand is part of the quiet and beautiful Danish Riviera – a coastal stretch in North Zealand where green hills meet the sea, and where the sunsets linger long into the evening.
The beach is just a short walk away, surrounded by dunes, small lagoons, and soft sand. It’s both wild and peaceful – perfect for a morning swim, an evening walk, or simply a moment to watch the sky burn with colour over the ocean.
Just around the corner lies Heatherhill – a landscape of rolling hills covered in heather and dotted with grazing sheep. In late summer, the entire area turns violet, and on windy days, you may see paragliders floating silently above the coast.
Nearby, you’ll find small villages with big personalities, each with its own rhythm and charm:
🌸 Tisvildeleje – the lively heart of the Danish Riviera, known for its summer buzz, antique shops, flea markets, and the little Strandkiosken serving homemade ice cream and the legendary Toby Burger.
🍰 Valby – a hidden gem, where you can sit under apple trees at Salekildens Kaffe og Kage and enjoy freshly baked cakes and genuine Danish hygge.
🥩 Ørby – home to Kødsnedkeren, an artisan butcher devoted to honest food, traditional craft, and animal welfare – perfect for picking up ingredients for a cozy dinner at the cottage.
🍷🧀 Pibe Mølle Vin & Ost – a charming local wine and cheese shop offering tastings, handcrafted cheeses, and a carefully curated selection of Danish and European wines. A true taste of North Zealand – and only a few minutes’ drive away.
🎶 💃🏽Music in Lejet (MIL) – Denmark’s most beautiful beach festival – has now moved to Vejby, just a few minutes’ walk from the summer house. Each summer (week 29), thousands gather to celebrate music, sea, and togetherness under the open sky. Spend your days swimming in the ocean or walking the Heatherhill hills, and your evenings enjoying live performances by both Danish and international artists – all within walking distance back to the calm of your own summer house.
The area is peaceful, local, and deeply connected to nature – yet everything you need is close by. Hidden forest trails, wildflower meadows, coastal paths, and small places full of soul are waiting to be discovered.
Here, you can slow down, breathe deeply, and find peace – just an hour from Copenhagen, yet a world away from the noise 🌿
